Humvees
Military transport vehicles
Humvees is the plural of Humvee, a military vehicle designed for rough terrain.
The name derives from HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle).
Humvees became iconic during the Gulf War and appear frequently in news coverage of military operations: A convoy of Humvees rolled through the checkpoint.
The civilian version was marketed as the Hummer.
