Hitchhikers Guide

Interstellar traveler's handbook

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a fictional electronic travel guide in Douglas Adams's comic science fiction series of the same name, beginning as a 1978 BBC radio comedy.

The guide's defining feature is its cover inscription: "Don't Panic." The phrase hitchhiker's guide now suggests any irreverent, unconventional reference work: This blog is a hitchhiker's guide to surviving graduate school.
