highpass
Cuts low frequencies
Highpass describes a filter that allows frequencies above a certain threshold to pass through while blocking lower frequencies.
Common in audio engineering and signal processing: Apply a highpass filter to remove the rumble.
The cutoff point determines which frequencies get through.
The opposite is lowpass.
