Great Pyramid at Giza
Ancient Egyptian monument
The Great Pyramid at Giza is the oldest and largest of the three ancient pyramids on the Giza plateau near Cairo, Egypt.
Built around 2560 BCE as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu, it stood as the tallest human-made structure for nearly four millennia.
It is the only surviving wonder of the ancient world: We visited the Great Pyramid at Giza on our trip to Egypt.
