Gouda cheese
Waxed yellow round
Gouda cheese is a semi-hard Dutch cheese made from cow's milk, named after the city of Gouda in the Netherlands.
It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor when young, becoming more complex and caramel-like as it ages.
Gouda ranges from creamy and pliable to hard and crumbly depending on aging: aged Gouda with crackers, a slice of smoked Gouda.
