Gadsden
Southern Arizona acquisition
Gadsden is a city in northeastern Alabama, or one of several U.S. counties named for James Gadsden, the diplomat who negotiated the 1853 Gadsden Purchase from Mexico.
The Gadsden flag, featuring a coiled rattlesnake and the motto "Don't Tread on Me," has become a symbol of libertarian and anti-government sentiment: Gadsden flags flew at the rally.
