Friar Tuck
Portly Sherwood monk
Friar Tuck is a character from the Robin Hood legends—a jovial, rotund friar who joins Robin's band of outlaws in Sherwood Forest.
He appears as a loyal companion who combines religious vocation with fighting prowess and love of food and drink.
The name evokes cheerful corpulence or a merry clergyman: He had a Friar Tuck build.
