Fossey
Fossey is a surname, most notably associated with Dian Fossey (1932–1985), the American primatologist who spent nearly two decades studying mountain gorillas in Rwanda.
Her work transformed understanding of gorilla behavior and became the subject of *Gorillas in the Mist*.
She was murdered at her research camp, likely by poachers she had fought against.
