hunt-and-peck
Beginner's keyboard method
Hunt-and-peck is a method of typing using only one or two fingers, searching visually for each key rather than touch-typing: He never learned proper typing and still hunts and pecks.
The term evokes a bird pecking at scattered grain.
It's slow but requires no training.
