Dennis Hopper

Dennis Hopper (1936–2010) was an American actor and filmmaker who embodied countercultural rebellion in Hollywood.

He directed and starred in *Easy Rider* (1969), which defined a generation's disillusionment.

Known for volatile, intense performances in films like *Blue Velvet* and *Apocalypse Now*, his career alternated between mainstream success and drug-fueled notoriety before a late-career resurgence as a character actor.
