Creation of Adam
Sistine ceiling centerpiece
The Creation of Adam is a fresco painting by Michelangelo on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, completed around 1512.
It depicts God reaching out to give life to Adam, their fingers nearly touching.
The image—especially the outstretched hands—has become one of the most recognized and parodied in Western art: The poster reimagined the Creation of Adam with a robot receiving the spark.
