Conn's syndrome
Adrenal hormone overproduction
Conn's syndrome is a condition in which the adrenal glands produce too much aldosterone, a hormone that regulates sodium and potassium balance.
This overproduction typically causes high blood pressure and low potassium levels.
The syndrome is usually caused by a benign tumor on one of the adrenal glands.
Also called primary aldosteronism or hyperaldosteronism.
