Christian soldiers
Faith-driven fighters
Christian soldiers refers to believers viewed as spiritual warriors in a metaphorical battle against sin, evil, or worldly temptation.
The phrase draws on military imagery common in the New Testament and is most familiar from the hymn "Onward, Christian Soldiers": The congregation sang as Christian soldiers marching to war.
It can also describe actual soldiers who are Christian, or historically, crusaders and other religiously motivated combatants.
