Chevy Bel Air

Fifties American sedan

The Chevy Bel Air is a full-size automobile produced by Chevrolet from 1950 to 1981, most iconic in its 1955–1957 models with their distinctive chrome trim and tailfins.

The '57 Bel Air in particular became an enduring symbol of 1950s American car culture: His grandfather restored a cherry-red Bel Air.

The name evokes an era of drive-ins, rock and roll, and optimistic postwar prosperity.
