two-tone paint
Two shades, one car
Two-tone paint is a finish using two contrasting colors on a single surface, most often on vehicles.
Classic applications include a darker color on the body with a lighter roof, or colors divided by a horizontal line along the side panels: The '57 Chevy had that classic two-tone paint job.
The style was popular on American cars in the 1950s and has seen periodic revivals.
