CRUD

Storage action set

Crud is a coating or deposit of unwanted matter—grime, filth, or any unpleasant substance that accumulates where it shouldn't.

By extension, crud refers to anything worthless, inferior, or disgusting: What is this crud?

The word also serves as a mild expletive expressing annoyance or disappointment: Oh crud, I forgot my wallet.

In computing, CRUD is an acronym for the four basic database operations: create, read, update, and delete.
