C-pillar
Back window frame
The C-pillar is the rearmost roof support in a typical sedan or the third pillar from the front in larger vehicles.
It connects the roof to the body behind the rear side windows.
In SUVs and wagons with additional windows, the pillars continue alphabetically—D-pillar, and so on.
A thick C-pillar creates a blind spot; a thin one improves visibility but may compromise structural rigidity.
