Bletchley

Wartime decryption headquarters

Bletchley is a town in Buckinghamshire, England, best known as the site of Bletchley Park, the secret British codebreaking center during World War II.

There, Alan Turing and other cryptanalysts famously broke the German Enigma cipher, work credited with significantly shortening the war.

Today Bletchley Park operates as a museum dedicated to this history.

We visited Bletchley to see where the codebreakers worked.
