Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate is a sprawling coastal city in the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms setting, known for its mercantile power and shadowy intrigue.
More commonly, it refers to the landmark 1998 role-playing video game set there, which pioneered story-driven computer RPGs and spawned sequels: I spent hundreds of hours on Baldur's Gate back in college.
The franchise saw renewed popularity with Baldur's Gate 3 in 2023.
