Andrei Rublev
Andrei Rublev was a Russian icon painter of the late 14th and early 15th centuries, regarded as the greatest medieval Russian artist.
His work, especially the *Trinity* icon, defines the spiritual and aesthetic ideals of Russian Orthodox religious art.
The name also refers to Andrei Tarkovsky's 1966 film about the painter's life, considered a masterpiece of world cinema.
