19th hole
Bar after golf
The 19th hole is golfer slang for the clubhouse bar, where players drink after completing the standard 18 holes.
The term captures the social ritual that follows a round: We'll settle the bet at the 19th hole.
It suggests that post-game drinks are as much a part of golf as the game itself.
