Heat-tolerant lawn
Zoysia is a genus of warm-season grasses native to Asia and Australia, widely used for lawns in hot, humid climates.
Zoysia grasses form dense, carpet-like turf that crowds out weeds and tolerates drought, heat, and foot traffic better than many other lawn grasses.
They spread by runners and tend to turn brown during winter dormancy.
The zoysia finally filled in after two seasons.
