zone control
Territorial tactical advantage
Zone control refers to HVAC systems that regulate temperature independently in different areas of a building, allowing separate rooms or floors to maintain different climates: Zone control lets us keep the bedroom cooler than the living room.
In strategy games and sports, zone control means dominating a particular area to restrict opponent movement or access: Their zone control in the midfield shut down our offense.
