zip it

Close your mouth

Zip it is an informal command meaning shut up or stop talking, as if closing one's mouth like a zipper.

It's blunter than "be quiet" but milder than "shut up": Zip it, I'm trying to concentrate.

Often used with children or delivered playfully between friends.
