youth groups
Young people's clubs
Youth groups are organized gatherings of young people, typically sponsored by religious institutions, civic organizations, or community centers.
Church youth groups meet for fellowship and faith activities; scouting programs and 4-H are secular examples.
The term sometimes carries political weight—youth groups in authoritarian regimes have served as instruments of indoctrination: Hitler Youth, Young Pioneers.
