yentas

Meddlers who blab

Yentas are gossips or busybodies—people who pry into others' affairs and spread what they learn.

The word comes from Yiddish and carries a Jewish cultural flavor, though it's used more broadly: The yentas in the neighborhood knew everyone's business.

Sometimes spelled yentes.
