Yellow beans are a variety of green bean with a pale yellow or cream-colored pod instead of the typical green.
Also called wax beans, they have a slightly milder, more buttery flavor but can be used interchangeably with green beans in most recipes: I blanched the yellow beans and tossed them with olive oil.
