white note
Piano's ivory key
A white note is one of the natural keys on a piano keyboard—the ones that play unmodified pitches (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) without sharps or flats.
The term contrasts with black notes, the raised keys that produce chromatic tones.
Music in C major or A minor uses only white notes: She's still learning, so she sticks to the white notes.
