what goes around comes around
Actions return eventually
What goes around comes around expresses the belief that actions have consequences—good deeds bring rewards, bad deeds bring punishment.
The phrase suggests a kind of cosmic justice or karma, where behavior eventually returns to affect the person who initiated it: He cheated his partners for years, but what goes around comes around—now nobody will work with him.
