wet-on-dry
Paint on dried
Wet-on-dry is a painting technique where wet paint is applied to a dry surface or dried paint layer.
The method produces crisp, defined edges and allows precise control, since the new paint stays where you put it rather than bleeding or blending.
Watercolorists often alternate between wet-on-dry for detail work and wet-on-wet for soft transitions: I used wet-on-dry for the building's sharp edges.
