warm down
Post-exercise gentle movement
A warm down is a period of gentle exercise following intense physical activity, allowing the heart rate and muscles to return gradually to their resting state.
The term mirrors warm up, which prepares the body for exertion.
After the race, we did a ten-minute warm down.
Also called a cool down.
