voice double
Vocal performance replacement
A voice double is a person who speaks or sings in place of an actor, typically when the original performer's voice is unsuitable for a particular scene or skill.
In film, a voice double might provide singing for a non-singing actor, or dub dialogue when the original recording is unusable.
Distinguished from a voice actor, who creates an original character, a voice double specifically substitutes for someone else: The studio hired a voice double for the musical numbers.
