vincas
Low trailing blooms
Vincas is the plural of vinca, a genus of flowering plants with glossy evergreen leaves and five-petaled blooms, commonly called periwinkle.
Vincas are popular as ground cover because they spread readily and tolerate shade: The vincas have completely taken over that shady corner of the yard.
