video conferences
Online face-to-face gatherings
Video conferences are real-time meetings conducted through audio and video technology, allowing participants in different locations to see and hear each other.
The term covers everything from casual one-on-one calls to formal business meetings with dozens of attendees sharing screens and presentations.
We scheduled a video conference with the overseas team for Tuesday morning.
The practice became ubiquitous during the COVID-19 pandemic, when remote work made video conferences the default for professional collaboration.
