vaginal birth
Non-surgical childbirth method
Vaginal birth is childbirth through the birth canal rather than by cesarean section.
The term is clinical and typically appears in medical contexts where the distinction matters: She had a vaginal birth after cesarean, The doctor recommended attempting vaginal birth first.
Also called natural birth, though that term sometimes implies birth without pain medication.
