upvaluing

Raising perceived value

Upvaluing is increasing the assessed worth or importance of something.

The term appears in financial contexts where currencies or assets are formally revalued higher, and in psychological or social contexts where someone elevates their estimation of a person or quality: She's been upvaluing her own contributions to the project.

The opposite of devaluing.
