Unwoke describes someone who rejects or opposes progressive social views, particularly around race, gender, and identity politics.
The term emerged as a counter to *woke* and carries different charges depending on the speaker—either a badge of resistance to perceived overreach or a criticism of reactionary thinking: He proudly called himself unwoke, an unwoke backlash to diversity initiatives.
