unwinged
Without aerial appendages
Unwinged means lacking wings.
The term applies to insects, seeds, or other organisms that typically have winged forms but in this case do not: unwinged aphids, unwinged maple seeds.
It may also describe figuratively anything deprived of flight or elevation: unwinged ambitions that never soared.
