unteachability

Refusing to learn

Unteachability is the quality of being impossible or extremely difficult to teach.

The word usually describes a person's resistance to instruction—someone so stubborn, closed-minded, or set in their ways that no amount of guidance gets through: His unteachability frustrated every mentor he ever had.

Less commonly, it describes subject matter too complex or abstract to convey effectively.
