unshelve

Take from storage

To unshelve is to remove something from a shelf, or figuratively, to revive a project or plan that had been set aside.

A shelved proposal gets unshelved when circumstances change: The committee unshelved the budget plan after new funding came through.

In library and retail contexts, unshelving is simply taking items off shelves for processing or restocking.
