unseamed

Split apart violently

Unseamed means ripped open along the seam—cut apart where pieces were joined.

The word appears most famously in Shakespeare's Macbeth, where a warrior unseamed an enemy from the nave to the chops, splitting him from navel to jaw.

Outside literary contexts, the word is rare, but it can describe garments coming apart at their stitching or anything violently torn open.
