unrip
Detach by tearing
To unrip is to reverse or undo a rip—reattaching what was torn apart.
The word appears most often in sewing contexts, where it paradoxically means to remove stitches: I need to unrip this seam and start over.
This sense treats the original sewing as a joining that must be undone, making unrip functionally synonymous with rip out.
