unmap

Sever address link

To unmap is to remove something from a mapped state—typically in computing, where it means to disconnect a drive, directory, or memory region from its assigned location: I need to unmap the network drive before disconnecting.

The word also appears in video games for removing markers from maps, or figuratively for erasing something from mental geography.
