uninstalling
Purging an application
Uninstalling is the process of removing software from a computer or device.
Where installing adds a program to a system, uninstalling reverses it—deleting files, clearing registry entries, and freeing up space: I'm uninstalling apps I never use.
The process sometimes leaves traces behind, prompting users to seek "clean uninstall" tools.
