unfoul
Remove the contamination
To unfoul is to clear or release something that has become tangled, jammed, or obstructed.
The term appears most often in nautical and mechanical contexts: unfoul the anchor chain, unfoul the propeller.
It reverses whatever fouling has occurred—a rope wrapped around itself, a line caught on debris, equipment that won't move freely.
