underground forums
Dark web communities
Underground forums are online discussion communities operating outside mainstream internet spaces, typically on the dark web or password-protected sites.
They facilitate exchange of illicit goods, services, and information—stolen data, hacking tools, drugs, weapons, or fraudulent documents.
Members often use pseudonyms and cryptocurrency to maintain anonymity: He bought the credit card numbers on an underground forum.
