undergoer

Subject of experience

An undergoer is someone who undergoes something—a person who experiences or is subjected to a process, treatment, or change.

The word appears in grammar to describe the entity affected by an action, as opposed to the one performing it: In "The window broke," the window is the undergoer.

Outside linguistics, it's rare but transparent in meaning.
