underfired
Not heated enough
Underfired describes ceramics, pottery, or bricks that haven't been heated long enough or at high enough temperatures during firing.
The result is weaker, more porous material that may crack or crumble: The underfired tiles absorbed water and eventually failed.
In kilns, underfiring leaves clay incompletely vitrified.
