truffle hunter
Pig with purpose
A truffle hunter is a person who searches for truffles—prized underground fungi that grow near tree roots.
The work traditionally involves trained dogs or pigs that can smell the buried delicacy.
The term sometimes extends figuratively to anyone who seeks out rare or hidden treasures: He's a truffle hunter when it comes to vintage records.
