triads
Sets of thirds
Triads are groups of three connected things.
In music, a triad is a three-note chord—the basic building block of Western harmony.
In medicine, triads describe symptom clusters that appear together diagnostically.
Any set of three related elements can form a triad: the cognitive triad of depression, a triad of skills. (Capitalized Triads refers to Chinese organized crime.)
